全球定位系統 (Global Positioning System)
全球定位系統（GPS），又稱全球衛星定位系統，是美國國防部研製和維護。它可以為地球表面絕大部分地區（98%）提供準確的定位、測速和高精度的時間標準。
該系統包括太空中的24顆GPS衛星；地面上1個主控站、3個數據注入站和5個監測站及作為用戶端的GPS接收機。最少只需其中3顆衛星，就能迅速確定用戶端在地球上所處的位置及海拔高度；所能收聯接到的衛星數越多，解碼出來的位置就越精確。
現在民用GPS也可以達到十米左右的定位精度。
使用低頻訊號，縱使天候不佳仍能保持相當的訊號穿透性；全球覆蓋（高達98%）

*台鐵的網路訂票 能定”區間車”嗎?

由於區間列車主要服務對象是通勤族或中短程旅客，因此是非對號列車。所以沒有開放網路訂票及電話語音訂票。

自強號、莒光號與復興號三種車種，才是對號列車，可以使用電話語音訂票系統或是網路訂票系統訂票。

*第一時間沒買到票，你還有機會

第一波票沒搶到別氣餒，在規定付款期限或取票時間到時（含搶票當日２日後），系統會釋出取消的票，這時也是一個搶票的大好時機，可能會有許多民眾放棄或忘記的票，也可以每天上去點點看，說不定會有異想不到的收穫。在發車前30分鐘，最後機會！台鐵會將未取票和未付款的票全部釋出，這時可以到車站的自動售票機或車站售票窗口購買，但這真的是很刺激啊！

*預約訂票每人(身分證字號)每乘車日最多可預訂6張乘車票。

YouBike微笑單車（通稱YouBike或UBike）為臺灣自行車製造商巨大機械建置與營運的公共自行車租賃系統，最初由子公司捷安特公司負責，2015年後改由同屬巨大機械旗下的微笑單車股份有限公司負責。

YouBike微笑單車在臺灣以公辦民營模式經營，第一個營運系統位於臺北市，目前在臺灣有臺北市、新北市、桃園市、新竹市、新竹科學園區、苗栗縣、臺中市、彰化縣、嘉義市、高雄市等地的公共自行車系統採用該系統，臺灣以外則有中國大陸福建省泉州市、莆田市採用。
